Logopress3 is an add-in package to SolidWorks and allows the designer to easily design dies in a visual and intuitive manner. Every part of the die is a 3D solid model that can be sent directly to the CAM software with no loss of detail and no misinterpretation of what a particular line, such as in traditional 2D design software, might mean. Bolt holes, taps, dowels holes, and punch clearances are parametrically linked between the individual parts of the die meaning that changing a bolt location in one part automatically changes it in all parts. Once the design is complete, the die can easily be run virtually on the computer screen with upper die movement, stripper movement, and strip progression automated by the Logopress3 software.
