Blanchard Grinding

Blanchard Grinding, or vertical spindle rotary surface grinding, is a machining process designed for the removal of material from one side of a large flat plate. This grinding process is known for its crossed hatched pattern it leaves on the surface. Our capabilities with the 96” Blanchard grinder are, up to 15,000lbs, and 120” from corner to corner. This is one of the best methods to ensure flatness and parallelism on large flat plates.
