Shipping, Receiving & Transport
JTD has a comprehensive Shipping, Receiving and Transport department. We can handle your shipment of your new die, or a large shipment of custom laser cut and formed parts. All our trailers are equipped with the necessary equipment to get all your products to you safely in a timely fashion. Safety and care of your finished product is always our priority.
Our Equipment:
- Freightliner with Box Trailer (44,000 lbs.)
- One Ton Flatbed (6000 lbs. / 20,000 lbs. with trailer)
We have six docks for loading shipments and receiving materials. Four docks for the boxed trailers and two drive through docks for flatbed trailers.
The Shipping and Receiving Department serves as the logistics hub for all incoming raw materials, and outgoing finished dies, flat laser cut parts, and your CNC formed finished parts. Shipping and receiving ensures seamless coordination between production operations and external suppliers and customers while maintaining accurate inventory for shipments.
JTD has a dedicated loading dock area equipped with six specialized bays designed to accommodate varying freight requirements. Four bays are configured specifically for boxed trailer loading and unloading, providing covered access for standard shipments of raw materials. Two additional bays accommodate flatbed trailers.
An automated tornado pallet wrapper streamlines the packaging process, ensuring consistent and secure wrapping of palletized shipments. This equipment reduces packaging time, minimizes material waste, and provides superior load stability for outbound freight.
Our shipping and receiving specialists manage all logistics operations. Responsibilities include inspecting incoming materials for quality and accuracy, coordinating with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules, maintaining shipping documentation and bills of lading, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The team works closely with production planning, quality assurance, and customer service departments to maintain efficient customer delivery commitments.
